Dear God, what is it like in your funny little brains? It must be so boring!- - - - - - - - - - - - - - As he was asked what exactly he did he blinked and thought of how to describe it. “Well, like I said before, I work with the Département de la Sûreté otherwise known as the Department of Territorial Safety and Security.” He said to think as he paused in his cleaning, trying to think of a way to describe it. “I am a detective, so to speak. I work on cases that are interesting. Usually murder cases, and I deduce what has happened, what will happen and who the person is that caused it all. Then I get them. Usually I go and get them unless it’s day time or close to it.” He said before he tossed the book in his hand on the bed.
“Sort of like Sherlock Holmes by Doyle.” He said trying to put it in perspective for him. Straightening up, and dusting off his shirt he raised an eyebrow. “Have you heard of Sir Arthur Conon Doyle?” he asked. He didn’t mean to sound rude, or like he was calling the other stupid, but since Andy had lived on the streets, it was a fair chance he never read the man’s books.
Which would be a shame. Those books were actually interesting, and described what he had always done, though with a more fancy sort of way than his life.

Andy had certainly heard of Sherlock homes, someone he had always been fascinated in. The boy could read, read well enough although he had problems with comprehension (which was often a problem when reading chapter books) but he had never had the money to buy any of the books, only hearing bits and pieces from strangers on the street. It comforted him, thinking his new roommate was a police officer of sort, someone who put bad people away in jail or something of the sort. He didn’t know this when the vampire first told him about his job, he thought it was some sort of French politician. He now understood what the cases lying around were.
“No…” he said shamefully as he let his gaze fall down to his hands. He didn’t really know what to say other then no. He hadn’t read the book or heard of the person. It was a long intimidating name, unlike his own. He had thought at first it might have been some sort of prince, though the last name Doyle was the same as when Keegan mentioned the book. He knew that much at least.
“That’s a really cool job,” he then commented letting his eyes slowly trace back up to Keegan. It was interesting watch someone clean. He remembered helping his mom out when he was just a tyke, though he probably wouldn’t be much help now, coming along the way and most likely breaking something with his jittery clumsy hands.

Dear God, what is it like in your funny little brains? It must be so boring!- - - - - - - - - - - - - - As the other informed him of never reading the books, or hearing of the man, he blinked and nodded. Walking over to one of his book shelves he looked at it for a moment before he found what he was looking for. Pulling out a leather bound book he walked over to Andy and held it out to him. “He’s a brilliant writer, if you want to read one of his books, I recommend this one. It’s Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of Baskervilles.” Keegan said as he looked down at the well worn book. It was a bit long, but none the less, good.
“Of course, that’s your choice if you want to read it or not.” He said as he handed over the book before stepping back so he could continue to clean up some of the papers scattered about, focusing on the ones by his open closet.
When Andy said that his job was cool, he simply smiled. “Cool. Yes, I suppose one could call it that.” He said as he stood up again, pausing a moment to sort through the papers, to make sure they all were from the same case. The ones that weren’t he tossed back on the floor for later when he had that case in hand. As he pulled a manila folder from his desk and put the papers inside, writing upon the folder what it was, he glanced over his shoulder at him. “Cool, but I do not recommend it for anyone.” He said a bit bitterly. This job, as much as he enjoyed it since it provided some interesting and entertaining moments for him, was the cause of his vampire ways. Sort of. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - And all the things you never heard While in my mind I search for words STATUS !?[/b] Finished THREAD MEMBERS !?[/b] Jayy WORDS !?[/b] 283 NOTES !?[/b] sorry it’s still short LISTENING TO !?[/b] nothing yet for this thread

Andy took the book happily, eagerly. He let his fingers explore the book’s cover, feeling the crevices of the pages. E opened the book halfway through, reading a few words, and then closed it, setting it onto his lap. It reminded him to n extent of the bible, something he had never read nor planned on reading (hence the upside down cross tattoo). He took interest in reading the book for he felt it would give him more insights on Keegan’s line or work. Plus, it could be a book club of some sort if he ever wanted to talk about it. Although, Andy feared he would have trouble comprehending the work, he wasn’t sure how to keep his mind on track. He couldn’t simply get by analyzing one paragraph a night, he’s be there for years.
He was curious why he would not recommend the job to anyone, figuring it was all the effort he put into it. Andy figured that the man put a lot of thought into the job, thinking things through when trying to find the culprit. He had always been interested in crimes and such, though it was a scary thing to think about when you were on the street. It was the one place you want to believe crimes don’t exist.

Dear God, what is it like in your funny little brains? It must be so boring!- - - - - - - - - - - - - - It was easy to read the male’s expression as he spoke about his job. He thought it was neat, that was for sure, but he was confused as to why he didn’t recommend it. “Don’t get me wrong,” he began, sitting on the edge of his desk as he shifted the folder about in his hands. “I like my job. It has its dull moments, but I never take any case I don’t find interesting.” He informed before he paused, wondering if he should tell him everything about it though.
He didn’t quite like rethinking about and reliving his past. However, he figured that the other would hear about it at some point. In pieces probably, but none the less, it was hard to live with a vampire and not ask about his past. Heck, he could hardly get anyone just to feed from or fuck for the night and not have them ask about him. Sure, he never told them, but none the less.
Sighing he looked to him once more. “This job killed me.” He told him, speaking ever so softly, allowing the strength of his voice carry over to him versus the volume. Running a hand through his hair and messing it up slightly as he did so, he turned to pick up a few other folders before making his way to a shelf that held a good majority of them.
“So how did you really end up on the streets?” he asked him with a raised eyebrow. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - And all the things you never heard While in my mind I search for words STATUS !?[/b] Finished THREAD MEMBERS !?[/b] Jayy WORDS !?[/b] 252 NOTES !?[/b] none LISTENING TO !?[/b] nothing yet for this thread

It began to make hazy sense to the man. He was curious though, wouldn’t the people working at the offices and such notice he had been employed for about 500 years? He figured that Keegan meant, killed him as in human him. For he was very much in front of him, very much going through his things. Maybe that wasn’t life. Maybe Keegan wasn’t alive at all, and Andy had become so sick he was hallucinating. He paused, trying to weigh out the reasonable options (which more and more, vampire became a reasonable option) he decided on a story that fit Keegan. “You job made you what you are,” he said in a soft, confident voice. He could have very well been wrong but the confidence in his voice made it sound louder than it really was.
Sure, at one point in Andy’s life he had a loud robust voice. Something that carried through the halls when he talked. After so many years of living on the street, of being punished and wrong, his deceit had made him nervous to talk. It had shrunk his confidence, leaving him with a mousy appeal that most people didn’t understand, as though he were dumb or something. No, he was quite intellectual about some things just nobody knew it.
“Uhm, my parents died on a trip to the United States… I couldn’t go because I wasn’t doing well in school so I was staying with a family friend. They got in a plane crash, I got the house. I couldn’t pay for the house, because I was like… 14 and the government couldn’t bother with foster care, so they took my house and when I wasn’t there, they didn’t notice and that’s where it started. Here I am now, at 20 years old,” he said with a small shrug fidgeting in his seat. The past wasn’t uncomfortable to him, though it was hard for him to explain such a sob story. He didn’t like people being sorry for him.

Dear God, what is it like in your funny little brains? It must be so boring!- - - - - - - - - - - - - - Keegan chuckled at the other male’s mock confidence and put some of the files in his book shelf, back to Andy. “Well, in all technicality an asshole whom I thought I trusted made me into what I am today, but yes, had it not been for this job I would not have been in the scenario that got me changed in the first place.” He concluded to him as he turned around to face him. He watched as Andy shifted about in his seat, looking to him with a tilt in his head. He rubbed at his chest again, thinking about what he should say anymore.
As the younger male told him about how he ended up on the streets, he watched him carefully before he sighed and walked over to sit beside him on the futon. He wasn’t about to feel sorry for the boy, feeling sorry would be a stupid thing to do. That was because it would not help him in anyway. However, that did not stop him from thinking there should be something he should say. It was amazing the boy had made it this far, really. That showed he had something more to him under all that lack of build.
“You…” he began, wondering what to say as he reached out to ruffle the kid’s hair. “are quite strong.” He said, wondering if that was even the right thing to say. He coughed a bit nervously as he nodded. Leaning back in the futon, he let his hand fall from Andy’s hair. Blinking for a moment he looked to him. “Is there anything you would like?” he asked him as his hand played with his phone lying beside him. “Something that would make you more comfortable living here. Other than new clothes of course, which we will get you.” - - - - - - - - - - - - - - And all the things you never heard While in my mind I search for words STATUS !?[/b] Finished THREAD MEMBERS !?[/b] Jayy WORDS !?[/b] 304 NOTES !?[/b] none LISTENING TO !?[/b] nothing yet for this thread

"It makes you uncomfortable talking about that part of your past doesn't it?" Andy said with a steady face as he looked to Keegan. He didn't show signs of not wanting to talk about it now, but he remembered the night before all the difficulty he had been having previously. Andy was curious to the real story behind his changing. He understood that the man was changed by someone he met over a case, yet he was curious about what made the expierence so personal and harsh. He ran his fingers over the binding of the book, looking down at it for a moment chewing on his lip.
"Uhm... thank you" Andy said with a kind smile. He wasn't used to talking about his past let alone someone telling him about the strength he held. He always felt weak weak in his mind and in his body. He enjoyed the thought, looking out into the open of the room before blinking and moving his eyes back to Keegan. "I don't need anything, I don' want anything..." he began, his big blue eyes of wander. "You've given me everything by just letting me sleep in a bed. And on top of that, you cook and you cook amazingly. I don't need clothes or anything I am beyond thankful.... I feel like I should be doing more for you," Andy said looking into Keegan's eyes, remembering briefly as they had turned red the night before.

Dear God, what is it like in your funny little brains? It must be so boring!- - - - - - - - - - - - - - It wasn’t like it was difficult, other than the fact that he just didn’t want to talk about it, since it was just an annoying, and slightly painful memory to think about. He wasn’t about to cry over it like the male had gotten close to crying over the memory of Ian the other day, but he wasn’t pleasant about it. As he looked to him, he blinked and shrugged, “It’s been about five hundred years since then,” he informed him “It’s old news really, and not happy news either, why dwell on something like that?”
He shifted a bit as he sat beside Andy, looking over him carefully as they spoke. It wasn’t like it was an uncomfortable conversation or anything, but it was still something that he felt he should tread carefully on. After all, it had been years since he had a normal conversation with anyone in which he wasn’t being an ass. Why did he decide to do this? Since when did he want anything normal and constant in his life? He had lived without it for centuries, so why should he care about it now? Perhaps his old age and years alone were getting to him. Perhaps it was the lack of blood, or a normal heart beat; either way it was weird to him. He wasn’t about to stop it though.
He rubbed at his chest gently, feeling his heart beat it’s slow pattern, trying to retain blood as he nodded to Andy. He looked him over carefully, wondering what he should say. He was for sure going to get the male some new clothes, but he wasn’t going to force him to get anything else. “You are not going to wear that one tattered outfit the whole time you are here.” He said flatly as he tilted his head to look him over, “Clothes are a necessity, but if you do not wish for anything else, then fine.”
He rose from the futon and continued to pick up some things in his room, straightening out his desk. “You are giving me blood, there is nothing more that I need, and nothing more that you owe me,” he informed him as he tossed some pens in his desk drawer. If he chose to do something more on his own time to ‘pay him back’ then he wasn’t about to stop him, but the idea of it, and speaking of it, caused him to do an internal eye roll.
However, it wasn’t like he didn’t need more, he needed a mate for one, because all Vampires, without a mate, would start to waste away after their 500th birthday if they didn’t have someone with them, and he wasn’t about ready to start looking like a zombie. Of course, he wasn’t too sure if that was what happened to vampires that wasted away, or if they just became lonely depressed people who didn’t do anything ever. However, he wasn’t about to test his luck. He could deal with being a lonely ass with nothing to live for, since he was used to doing that anyway, but to look like a zombie… no, he couldn’t deal with that.
He could also always use more blood, and more sex. Lord, since the day he had been introduced to the idea of sex, he could always use it. It may take up time, but it still was something that he felt he didn’t need to feel bad about doing, wasting his time or not. He could use some interesting things in his life, like a new killer with some exciting twist, however, he wasn’t about to voice those things though. Any of them. Mostly the killer since that was a strange thing to want.
Keegan sighed as he thought about it. God he was hopeless. Wishing for a killer should be the first sign that he was sliding off the deep end.
