[/IMG] Why do you ride for your money Tell me why do you rope for short pay You ain't a'gettin' nowhere And you're loosin' your share you must have gone crazy out there * * * * * * * * “Mom?” called out a squeaky voice.
“Yes dear?” said Mrs. Tompson as she poked her head out of a nearby stall she was cleaning.
“I was uh… just wondering when I could have my lesson on Zip?” she stated mumbling the last few words of her sentence.
“Well, I should be done here in just a few moments darling,” said her mother with that million-dollar smile that everyone had grown accustomed to. With a disappointed, heavy sigh, 9-year-old, long dark haired, emerald-eyed Jeannette Tompson, headed to his favorite paddock to observe a few of the sport horses that her family bred, owned, and trained.
Jeannette had spent her past nine years here at Hillshire Stables and she enjoyed every minute of it. Hillshire was neatly tucked away in the center of Hart County Kentucky. The 300 acres of land were home to over 40 horses and stretched for as far as the eye could see. There were 6 stable hands, herself included, and two instructors on staff. The capacious, red roofed stone and oak barn had enough room to hold exactly 50 horses. On the property there were two arenas used strictly for lessons and ring riding. A larger area that served as the arena where they held their monthly rodeo and also occupying the property were thousands of yellow tulips just freshly in bloom.
Jean’s mother, Katherine Tompson, was a top-notch rider. She could teach you anything you wanted to know about horses or riding But her specialty was barrels and cutting. Jean admired her mother, just like everyone else in the small town. She was sensitive, pretty, and outgoing. She was everything that Jeannette could ever dream to become or find in a mate. However, Jean’s favorite quality of her mothers was her ability to be a “horse whisperer.” It amazed Jean that her mother had such a connection with all horses. Jean, at the time, couldn’t do that, though she knew she had the ability to, and hoped to do it too, she wanted to be just like her someday, when she was all grown up.
All too soon, now 19-year-old Jeanette’s world seemed to be going along great. Now old enough and experienced enough to enter the rodeo the farm held on a regular basis, Jean moved from just being a typical stable girl to even guiding a few classes to help pay for her family and him to stay there. Yes, the farm, about the time she was 12, had lost many of their prized horses to illness, causing them to be out of business, and quickly out of money. To be able to pay for the cleaning, and remaking of the barn and pastures, so they could house animals again, they had to sell the house. Luckily, Jean’s father had a friend that was kind enough to buy the farm, process the changes, and continue paying for it till they were back on their feet again. He even let them live there, though they had to pay for rent. After all, they owed him so much for saving their home.
Not long after the rebuilding had started, did her mother get in a car accident that caused her to be continued to a wheelchair for the rest of her life. This caused a large set back in their life, her father wishing to do anything and everything to help the woman he loved (even if that meant moving someplace else to accommodate her). However, Hillshire was her home, their home, and her mother would have nothing of it. She could still do work around the grounds, like feed the chickens and all, so why move away from this place? She still remained bright and bubbly, which made life much easier for them to deal with, so they moved right along.
Watching the foals and fillies prance and play out in the pasture, under the ever watchful gaze of their mothers, Jean sighed contently as she brushed the hair from her eyes. She was waiting for the arrival of someone who she was told that she would be taking care of during their stay, and tried desperately not to get her cream spaghetti strap top, and navy blue riding breeches dirty, so she could at least make a nice first impression on the new comer. She wanted them to feel welcomed. After all, this place was heaven to her, and she hoped the other would feel the same way about it too.

Nia sighed as she walked into her apartment, she didn't come home last night from a party she was at, and she knew her mother would be pissed. She didn't care though, there are a lot of things that her mother didn't know about her. She opened the door and slammed it, might as well show that she was here, though slamming the door was a bad idea, she had a massive hangover. She was still in her black mini skirt and black strapless that made her boobs look bigger. She had her long white blond and pink hair down flowing around her shoulders. "Nia is that you?" her mother said from the kitchen, She could hear her mother setting down what she was doing, which means there was going to be yelling. "Where where you last night?" she said putting her hands on her hips glaring at her. Nia sighed "somewhere whats it to you?" she said leaning against the door frame. Nia's mother came around the corner and glared at her, walking over to her daughter she smelled her breath, she smelt like liquor, "you where drinking again, I thought i told you not to drink, you too young." she said pointing at her, looking like she might hit her. This never cared if her mother knew she like to party, she never did anything anyways, she just yells and leaves. "Yeah, you did tell me not to, but I did," she said shrugging at her mother. "What are you going to do anyways, you din't even know the kind of stuff I do, so just back off." she said an looked at her mother and glared at her, she really hated this, she wishes she could have a cool mother like her friends do. "Your not going out for a week." she said looking happy with her punishment. Nia laughed at this and decided to tell her mother what she does that she never knew about, only because she was mad she was grounded. "Oh and by the way mother, you know nothing about me, yeah i drink ,but guess what, I smoke, get high, and sneak out, oh and I got a tattoo and my belly button piercing, I just thought you should know." she said holding up her shirt showing her pierced and tattoo on her hip of a black heart. She smiled as her mothers face fell, she looked pissed and wondered what she would do. "what you have nothing to say, am I grounded for a month mommy." she said the end turning more into a coo, her mother just stood there and walked off. She came back a minute later with a photo of a old house. she looked at her mother questionably. "Whats that?" she said gesturing at the photo. "This is your punishment, your going here for the hole summer, where you can't get into more trouble." she said handing her daughter the picture and crossing her arms. "I'm calling her tonight, you'll be picked up tomarow." she said walking off to the phone. "I-I'm going here!" she sail looking at the picture. It wasn't a bad place to be, when she was younger she would have jumped for the idea to go there, now though she just thinks of how bad it will be. Her mother comes back after 30 minutes of talking on the phone, she sighed and looked at Nia with a sad expression, "Your being picked up at 3 in the morning, its a 8 hour drive so they want to get here early, there coming down now so they can rest before tomarow morning. You should start packing." her mother said quietly, "You won't need your nicer clothing, your working for them on the farm, so pack clothing for that." she said gesturing to the outfit she had on, "you know jeans, shorts, tank tops, nothing fancy and stuff that can get dirty." she walked off and grabbed a suitcase out of the closet for her to put everything in. "I'm giving them money for you in case you need anything, and there only buying you things that you really need." she said walking over to the kitchen and turning off the water that she forgot was on, she walked back and pushed her towards Nia towards her room, "Pack now, or I'll pack what I know you need and you can just sit there." she said still trying to get Nia to her room. "I don't want to go. I'm not packing anything, you can do it, I don't care." she said walking back towards the living room and sitting on the couch. After a few hours everything was packed and Nia was sleeping in her room, a few minutes later, they showed up and went to sleep, it was going to be a hard morning and she knew it. That morning at 2 she woke up Nia and Mr. Tompson, who was the one to come pick her up. Nia sighed and got into the car with him, soon they where speeding off to her personal prison for the next 2 months. She soon fell asleep and didn't wake until they where almost there. Nia looked around and all she saw was a field, she didn't see any other house around but one, and a few stables and rings by the looks of it, she sighed at her new home, they drove up to the house and there was a girl standing there, waiting for her by the looks of it. She got out of the car and leaned against it waiting to see who the girl was.

[/IMG] Why do you ride for your money Tell me why do you rope for short pay You ain't a'gettin' nowhere And you're loosin' your share you must have gone crazy out there * * * * * * * * It had been a fairly nice day out, the temperature only rising a little since the morning, showing that the day would be comfortable for all those who worked at the large farm. It was a refreshing change from the past few weeks they had, in which temperatures were quite warm, and hardly standable. This place was her home though, and even in the most extreme cases of weather, she would go out to work on the farm and to see her beloved stallion, who was currently in his stall for his morning meal.
She could hear the car her father had taken, arrive once more, knowing the sound of the old truck anywhere, and next to any other cars. In fact, she could always hear it before seeing it. It was quite funny really, to her at least. It wasn’t like it was a rattle trap, but it wasn’t exactly quiet either.
Glancing up from the dapple foal that had been nuzzling her for attention for a while now, she stopped stoking its soft, grey muzzle. She looked at the truck pulling up, housing her father, and a rather irritated looking girl. Jeanette had been informed that this girl was a difficult child for her mother, and she had gotten fed up with her rebellious ways, so she sent her to their little farm, quite a long ways away from any city, and backed by a forest, so she would be stuck there, in hopes she would change.
That poor girl.
Brushing her dark hair from her eyes, she broke away from the foal, which let out a soft, upset whinny, and walked over to the driveway. As the truck pulled to a stop, she adjusted her top, and waited for the girl and her father to emerge. She hoped she looked okay, wanting to make a good first impression.
She was dressed fairly nicely for being on a farm with no reason to dress up. Her dark hair was styled in gentle waves over one shoulder, framing her face nicely and descending just about her bright green eyes. She next to never wore make up, finding that she was still rather pretty without it, and that it was just a nuisance to get on everyday only to work. She was slender, though sturdy, and just the right height. Or so she was often told by her mother. If only she could find someone she was ‘just the right height for’.
However, over all, she looked pretty, and that was enough for her. Especially for a first impression.
Licking at her petal pink lips, she smiled sweetly at her father, who hugged her as he climbed out, and moved to pull the new girl’s stuff out of the bed. Looking to the girl, she smiled some more.
“Hi, welcome to Hillshire.”

Nia looked at the girl, she looked pretty normal, she had really pretty brown hair and green eye's. She didn't look like someone who should be stuck here, she wondered if the girl did something like her and get sent here, that was until the man who drove her here gave her a hug, that must mean that this girl was her baby sitter, she sighed at that thought, and looked around, her mother was right, there was no way she could get into trouble here, but that's because there was nothing here.
Nia looked back to the girl, walking over to her she held out her hand "Hey, I'm Nia." She said in a tired voice. She was happy that there was at least one person her age here.

[/IMG] Why do you ride for your money Tell me why do you rope for short pay You ain't a'gettin' nowhere And you're loosin' your share you must have gone crazy out there * * * * * * * * As the hand was held out to her, she looked at it and smiled, taking it in her own warm hand gently. “Hello, I’m Jeanette, call me Jean.” She informed her, looking her over casually. This girl was quite pretty, though the pink in her hair was a bit strange. Her eyes were so bright, it was hard not to keep looking at their beauty. Realizing she still held the other’s hand in her own, she hoped that it wasn’t too weird or too long, so she quickly dropped it, her own falling to her side to grip at the hem of her shirt nervously.
“When I heard you were coming, I asked if it would be alright if I was the one to help you out while you were here instead of Elliot.” She informed her. Elliot was one of the other hands on the farm, and he was about fifteen years older than the two of them. He may be a nice guy, but he was a bit strange at times, and almost too ‘LOVE THE FARM NAOOOOOW!’ for his own good. Not to mention, the age difference was also a bit strange to deal with. She never really liked the fact that most of the hands hired onto the farm when the new owner took over were older, but she didn’t dare say anything on it. “After all, Elliot is much older than us, and there’s no one else on the farm here our age.” She had wanted to, if at all possible, to maybe make friends with the rebellious girl.
From the things her father had been told by the girl’s mother, and quickly relayed to her when they settled on the decision that Jean would show her the ropes so nothing bad happened to her, she seemed like a difficult person, and someone who Jean might not be able to relate to. She wanted to try anyway. “So I thought it would be easier for you to settle in here.”
As she took a suitcase from her father, she smiled at the girl once more. “As such, if you ever need any help with anything at all, find me, I’ll be happy to help.” As she shifted the bag from one hand to the other.
She stood for a moment, wondering if she should show Nia’s room now, or wait till a bit later, she tilted her head slightly. “If you don’t mind me saying,” she began, hoping that Nia wouldn’t mind, “You are really pretty.”
She hadn’t meant anything by it, just a complement, but she hadn’t been sure how city folks acted around one another, and if saying things like that were okay with them. If it wasn’t well, they should learn to accept it more, and take them as compliments, and learn to do the same for others. It was always nice, after all.

Hope it makes sense.

Nia smiled at her happy that she was going to help her and not some older guy, "thanks, I'm glad that your going to help me out here." she said smiling at the Jean, she really was happy that she was helping, also she thought that it was her best chance to do something fun, she should know at least something to do out here.
When Jean called her pretty she blushed at the comment, she dropped her eye's and looked at the ground. She was really happy she thought so, she never got called pretty, only hot or sexy, which was nice but not sweet like this was. "Th-thanks, your pretty too." she said still looking at the ground, her face turning a bright red. the one thing that no one knew about her was that she liked girls, you couldn't tell people that when you lived in the city, especially not to her friends. She has always kept it a secret, but she really sis think Jean was cute, she was just not going to say it out loud.
Snapping out of her daze, she looked back up to Jean, "So, how old are you?" She said in a small voice kinda hoping that she was near the same age as her.

[/IMG] Why do you ride for your money Tell me why do you rope for short pay You ain't a'gettin' nowhere And you're loosin' your share you must have gone crazy out there * * * * * * * * Jean watched as her father took some of the other bags inside already, leaving the two of them standing in the driveway alone. She blinked a few times, looking around, her eyes lingering on the pasture not far from them, where the horses moved about. She knew her own horse would be done with his meal and would want to be let out of the stall soon, so she had to make a decision on what to do quickly.
Looking back to Nia she smiled “How about I show you to your room, then around the grounds here?” She asked as she ushered to the manor where most of the people who lived there, minus a few hands, lived. She led her inside, and up the stairs that were just past the main entranceway. Only pausing a moment to scratch an orange tabby who lay on the railing behind the ears.
“Your room,” she began as she made her way down the hall that was dimly lit, and decorated neatly with some nice paintings and various flowers on fashionable tables. “Is the third from the end of this hall on the left.” She informed her, before opening up the dark oak door, exposing the room.
It was a neatly decorated room, with a dark oak bed dressed in pretty white sheets. There was a small book shelf and a desk, also dark in color. The desk chair had a white seat to match not only the bed but the white carpet below its four feet. Each bedside table was dark oak with white marble tops, a clock on one and blue vases with bright yellow tulips on both. There was a single window, looking out onto the grounds, to the right of the bed. There weren’t many pictures on the walls or anything, since this had been cleaned and planned for her.
All in all the room was nice.
“Well, this is it.” Jean said with a smile as she set the bag she had down on the floor by the foot of the bed where the other bags had been set down. “You are free to decorate it as you like, that’s why it seems a bit baron.” She commented as she turned to look at Nia.

Nia looked around the room and sighed, it was pretty, she walked in and wandered around touching the sheets on the bed. "Its nice, I'm not going to do much, maybe just a few things, I don't know what my mom packed me though."
She walked to where her bags laid and opened them, her mom packed her all of her books, some CD's, her radio, and a few little things from around her room. She was happy that her mother packed her some of this, she noticed that her mother didn't pack anything that she had got recently, probably a way to get her to forget what she turned into. She looked down at the clothing she was wearing, she had on her short shorts and a tank top that gave her some cleavage, she sighed " what are good clothes to wear here?" she said to her rummaging threw the clothing that her mother had packed. She wanted to change, she felt like she shouldn't be here, at least she didn't really want to be here, but she didn't like standing out, she never did. Sighing again she picked up a pair of Capri's and a tank top similar to Jeans, "Would this be good?" she said holding her selections up for her to see.

[/IMG] Why do you ride for your money Tell me why do you rope for short pay You ain't a'gettin' nowhere And you're loosin' your share you must have gone crazy out there * * * * * * * * Looking at the clothes that were behind shown to her, Jean tilted her head. Since the girl wasn’t going to be riding, or hardly even working today, then capris should be alright. “Until you start working around here, and riding, things like that would be just fine. The weather is nice too, so it works.” She said with a nod.
Wondering if she should leave to let her change, she gave her a gentle smile. “Well, I’ll be downstairs, come down when you are ready and I’ll show you around the grounds.” She informed her as she turned from the pretty girl before her and walked out, shutting the door with a soft click.
Making her way down the hall, planning on going down stairs, she heard her father and the land lord talking, and this caused her to freeze in place. They sounded like they were having an important, very serious conversation. She should just quietly pass them, and find someplace else to wait for the new girl, but when she heard her name being spoken, she found she couldn’t move. Quickly ducking down, so she was obscured by the many banister poles on the railing, she peered out, and looked at them, listening to what might be going on.
The cat that had still been lounging on the stairs stood up, stretched, and with a soft mewl, walked over to her. She quickly picked it up, to prevent it from meowing again and giving her away, and began to pet at it, not even looking at it as it purred softly in her arms.

Nia picked up the clothing she had picked out as Jean left, she sighed and changed. When done she looked in a mirror and gave herself a once over, she was happy she didn't do her makeup today because the way she puts it on wouldn't have looked nice with this outfit. Sighing she looked at her blond and pink hair and tied it up into a loose bun on the top of her head, the way she use to before she became her new 'cool' self, sometimes she wishes she could just go back, but she knew that her friends wont like her, she use to be kinda geeky with long blond hair and a easy life, she loved it, but her friends like her this way, she sighed and walked to her door, heading down the hall looking for Jean, at least she could be her old self around her, she after all didn't know her new self.
She started down the stairs when she saw Jean standing looking threw the railing holding the cat they past earlier. She walked down a few steps before saying anything. "Um, what are you doing?" she said in a low voice, she looked like a child sneaking down stairs waiting for Santa to come. She smiled at the girl and waited for a response.

[/IMG] Why do you ride for your money Tell me why do you rope for short pay You ain't a'gettin' nowhere And you're loosin' your share you must have gone crazy out there * * * * * * * * The sound of the other girl’s voice caused Jean to practically leap out of her skin, and it had even startled the cat in her arms. Both of them turned around quickly to look at Nia, wide eyed, and worried that it was someone like one of the stage hands who would tell her father she was snooping. Not caring that she probably looked like a fool crouched there, she gasped, and shot up to a standing position, more concerned about being called out for something like that. After all, how did that look to the new girl, for her to be snooping around her own house.
“Oh, nothing!” she said suddenly, as she set the cat down and brushed the hair from her eyes, rather nervously. Clearing her throat, she looked to her and gave a gentle smile “Shall I show you around now?” she asked.
The cat she had set down wiggled it’s way around her legs, wanting more attention, and even dared to go up to the new girl with a meow as it brushed against her, hoping at least one of them would give it attention. “Oh, this is Fred. He’s the lazy one of the three cats we have here. He prefers to lay about and leak attention from everyone, than go around and explore.” She said as she ushered to the cat, who hopped on the railing beside them.
“We have a brown cat around the grounds, her name is Lilly, she’s my mother’s cat. She’s friendly, but only when she gets to know you first, so you have to take your time with her. Then my cat’s a calico, Theta, who hangs around the barn, knowing that’s where he can usually find me.” She explained as she ushered for the girl to follow, leading her down the stairs. “We have two dogs, both retrievers, one named Bill and the other Booger.”
She figured it was easiest to talk about the animals most people had, like cats and dogs, versus the horses, the four sheep, one cow, and many chickens they had. She would talk about them as they reached that point, but for now, she was just talking about the animals she would probably see the most of. “Both of them are crazy boys, loving to play. Unless you want them to forever bother you about playing with them, I don’t recommend throwing anything they can fetch. They will forever be glued to you, waiting for you to throw something else.” She said with a giggle.
As she giggled, out of habit whether she giggled, or full out laughed, she covered her smiling mouth. She wasn’t quite sure why she did it, perhaps thinking her smile was funny to others and they would find her stupid looking, or perhaps she just didn’t like her laugh. Either way, she covered up her mouth as she giggled, looking at Nia, hoping she was making a decent first impression.

Nia smiled at Jean and felt bad for scaring her, she looked over at the cat and scratched him on the head quickly, she loved cats but he mother never let her have any pets, she was happy of how many they had here, and wondered how many animals the farm had, she really was a animal lover, especially to horses. Nia followed Jean threw the house and wondered how big of a area that they had. She smiled at Jeans laugh she thought it was cute, and that she was even cuter for covering her mouth.
She thought if she should ask about the stables, hoping that she would be able to go and see them, "So Jean, do you guys have horses and other animals here?" she said in a small voice not sure if she should have asked about the farm just yet, but oh well she had to know sometime. She hope she would be able to ride one, she never had before but she has always wanted to.

[/IMG] Why do you ride for your money Tell me why do you rope for short pay You ain't a'gettin' nowhere And you're loosin' your share you must have gone crazy out there * * * * * * * * As the girl asked about the other animals, her face lit up and she smiled at her brightly. She was glad the other girl was at least interested in the farm, versus coming there and just hating the place right off the bat. That would have been hard for her to deal with, even if she knew she would. She made this promise after all.
“Yes,” she said as they stepped from the manor onto the drive again. As she turned to the left, she lead her to a small gathering of apple trees and right past that, was a small enclosure with an outdoor pen attached. “Just past the apple trees, not too far from the manor, we have sheep here. Four of them. There is Biscuit, Cookie, Alex and Moe.” She said, pointing at each of them in turn. They looked lazily up from their meals and one of them bayed at them before they returned to eating. “That one is Moe, he’s a sweetheart. I think he is gay; he’s too friendly and has been around females his whole life but has never taken interest in any of them. I mean, even his horns are smaller!” she said with a bright smile.
“We also have many chickens that roam the area around here. They mostly follow my mother though, since she feeds them. That’s about all she can do anymore.” She informed Nia, as she led her further around the farm, walking at a casual pace for her. One in a while she would stop to point something out to the blonde.
As they neared the barn, a small pasture with a little enclosure stood beside it, and Jean felt herself stop. A small cow, clearly fully grown, but had to be miniature since he was so small, wandered over to her with a soft moo. “This is Burt.” She said with a bright smile at the cow as she ruffled the fur between his ears. “Our only cow. He’s been here forever, so no one has the heart to get rid of him, even if he does nothing for us. He gets smothered in attention though, so I don’t think he really minds.”
Her green eyes darted from the cow for a moment and up to the barn where she heard a familiar whinny. She was close enough to the barn that they could hear her from inside the doors. Since most of the horses were either out in the pastures, or being ridden, it was easy to tell who was making the sound. Not to mention she knew it very well.
“We also have over forty horses here.” She began, walking away from Bert, to the barn. “Each for their own reasons, whether it be for the rodeo the farm holds once a month, or for breeding, or for pleasure, they all are useful.” She said, opening the door. Pausing a moment, she looked to Nia, “want to see mine?” she asked curiously, hearing the horses move about the clean stables.

Nia followed Jean around listening and nodding, she kept a mental note to learn all the animal's names when she was here, she loved the cow, she thought he was the cutest thing ever, but once she herd about the horses she forgot about everything, she could't believe that there was so many of them and that Jean had her own.
When she asked her if she wanted to see it she had a huge smile and nodded quickly "Yes, of course!" she said looking in the direction Jean looked, she wanted to see the horse so badly, she was actually happy about being stuck here against her will, she at first thought she would hate it but some of it is already warming up to her.
She smiled at the thought, she never thought from the moment her mother told her that she was going to be here all summer that she would actually like it, but all of it was wonderful, she felt like her old self which was nice for a change, she hated having to be someone different. She followed Jean threw the barn towards the stables, still smiling from ear to ear.

[/IMG] Why do you ride for your money Tell me why do you rope for short pay You ain't a'gettin' nowhere And you're loosin' your share you must have gone crazy out there * * * * * * * * When the other girl smiled, Jean felt herself smile in return. Nia’s smile made her look even prettier, and it was a contagious sort of smile. This was something odd for her to think, but she didn’t quite care, as she pushed the door open all the way and lead her inside. The barn inside, held a long walk way room enough to fit three horses side by side and their owners to lead them beside that, it was freshly painted and light wonderful so nothing was left in shadows. All the stalls had half doors so as the other horses could look over if they so desired, and the floor was clean and always swept so there was no dust or bedding lying around. It hardly even smelt like a barn, kept clean and mucked out it smelt nice and looked nice all painted the brilliant yet typical red and white.
From a ways down the aisle a large head shot out of a nearby stall door. It belonged to a dark black stallion, with a think ebony, mane and tail. He watched them approach with eager eyes, not looking away from his beloved owner and best friend as she approached. She reached out with her small, gentle hands and gently stroked her Thoroughbred’s neck and smiled. She loved it when Tomorrow’s Dream, also well known as Tommy, greeted her like this.
His greetings often showed off their well-established relationship. Tommy thrust his muzzle into Jean’s chest, shoving her a few steps backwards. She giggled at this, covering her mouth with her hand as she shook her head at time. "Okay, Okay." she said slightly chuckling at her boy’s spunky personality. "I get it. You want out." Stroking the spot behind his ear, where he liked it the most, she looked to Nia as she pulled the embroidered, genuine leather halter that had been hanging on a hook beside the stall door.
“This is Tomorrow’s Dream, my horse.” She said smiling as she bridled him and opened the door to lead him out into the sunlight and over to the hitching post that was located right outside of the gray, stone barn. “Tommy’s a sweetheart, I’ve had him since he was born.” Jean said as she took a few steps backwards and admired the beauty of her stallion. His ebony coat gleamed in the morning light, and his eyes dazzled with eagerness to begin the day.
When she had loosely tied Tommy up, the stallion began to dance around excitedly, his muscles twitching under his pelt. “Whoa, easy there boy” said Jeanette, her tone quiet and confident. Tommy flicked his ebony tail left and right, shooing away pesky flies and mosquitoes that were constantly pestering him. “I’ll have to do something about those pest, now won’t I boy?” She said lovingly to him as she swat at them. Looking to Nia she blinked, this could be a perfect opportunity for them to bond, and for her to get away from her so-called ‘rebellious’ ways. “Want to help me?” she asked, trying not to appear too hopeful, but not doing too good at it. * * * * * * * * Ah but they've never seen the Northern Lights They've never seen a hawk on the wing They've never spent spring on the Great Divide And they've never heard ole' camp cookie sing PLAYING WITH !? kiami POST STATUS !? finished WORD COUNT !? 525 NOTES !? I based him after my horse, name too.
